In an effort to occupy my mind mid-quarantine I’ve taken to researching your primary Charles Lobue Explorer and came across the (somewhat defunct) website which states that the body is made of birch, while the neck is mahogany. So my question here is how much can you confirm of these specs, and if you have any specific thoughts or preferences on tonewood in general?

Mine’s mahogany, neck and body. Ebony board. The birch one was/is Derringer’s. Not sure who’s got it these days. .
